I’ve always loved decorating for and celebrating the holidays, even holidays like Easter and Valentine’s Day! A few festive pieces here and there make our home feel a little cozier and more cheerful. And, I love making all the holidays – even the smaller ones – feel special to my family. My decorating style is always a combination of heirloom pieces, sweet keepsakes and fun new touches.
Most of what I purchased this year was for Addison’s room. I was SO excited that Target’s Dollar Spot had so many fun finds for little boys. The “I’m Over The Rainbow For You” + “You’re Raur-Some” signs were too cute to pass up and I loved the “Let’s Hang” runner across his dresser. The stuffed dinosaur was a gift from a friend before he was born and the Llama Llama I love You book was also a gift… the perfect accessories! PS: this book is so cute + affordable. A Valentine’s Day must for kiddos! The Foam Heart Garland was a DIY with the hearts purchased from Target’s Dollar Spot. I simply made little slits with a box cutter to string ribbon through. Everything else in his room was recycled from past gifts and decor. Judging from the look on this happy baby’s face, I think mama nailed it! And for less than $15 too.
Target’s Dollar Spot didn’t disappoint when it came to the Photo Clip Heart Garland seen on our fireplace mantel. When I first saw the hearts had little clothespins on the back for hanging pictures, I immediately knew I wanted to use this to display the stash of Valentine’s Day cards Josh and I have exchanged over the years. We’re missing some, but I LOVE how it turned out. And it was such a sweet reminder of how our relationship has grown over the years.
The Heart Runner and Valentine Card Mailbox on our kitchen table are also from Target’s Dollar Spot. I pulled an heirloom pitcher and dish in the prettiest pink hue to accompany my new items. Another Target find was the Love You plate that I use as a spoon rest (a kitchen must-have in our household). The “Love Each Moment” sign hanging on our pantry door was a Dollar Tree find from this year! So is the “To The Moon & Back” sign in our downstairs bathroom.
But enough chitchatting, let’s get into our Valentine’s Day Home Tour. I’m so excited to share how I styled these Valentine’s Day decor pieces below. Happy Valentine’s Day friends!
