2025 wasn’t exactly pretty. It was a year of surrender and unknowns.

There were moments that felt like loss and grief—but even more that felt like love and grace. While I’m not quite ready to publicly share everything I’ve walked through or how it’s shaping what’s next, some of you already know. I’m deeply thankful for your prayers, encouragement, and steady presence 🤍

Looking back now with clearer eyes, I can finally see the growth that came through the grief.

I traveled to places deeply sentimental to my family. Celebrated a wedding with childhood best friends. Cheered on my son’s two seasons of baseball. Learned new gardening skills. Focused on healing—inside and out. Became silicone-free. Worked with my hands to make this place home. Grew in my faith alongside true sisters in Christ. And a career highlight—landing a magazine cover for a celebrity wedding.

It wasn’t pretty. But it was beautiful.

And as I step into 2026, I do so with confidence knowing the Lord is making my path straight.

Every detail of Sierra and Josh's wedding was crafted to evoke romance and intimacy. Soft white and tan bohemian tones set the stage for a heartfelt ceremony, while the reception transitioned into a moodier atmosphere. Rose petals, rich textures, and a theme of “’Til Death” tied the day together, creating a celebration that felt both deeply personal and unforgettable.

The @penziweddings team truly outdid themselves with every thoughtful detail, stunning design element, and guest-centered touch from start to finish.

Casa Cien’s verdant garden and contemporary design

Casa Cien’s verdant garden and contemporary design offered a sleek, romantic backdrop for our ceremony. To enhance the space and reinforce our vision, we used dramatic fabric draping in our tent and statement chandeliers to create an intimate and ethereal atmosphere. One of our most personal design choices was the hand-painted dance floor, inspired by the tile in our favorite house in San Miguel—a place we’ve returned to on multiple trips and where we were staying when we first fell in love with the city. The combination of these elements ensured that every detail not only reflected us but also honored the destination, making San Miguel an integral part of the experience for our guests.

"Caroline, being a designer, approached the celebration as a creative project. Together with Penzi Weddings and Florklor Studio, she translated her mood boards into an immersive environment. The idea was an “oasis of color and good vibes” where nothing felt generic, and every shade and texture resonated with their personalities. The courtyard of Instituto became the perfect stage: fruit as florals, patterned ceramics, and a ceiling that seemed to move with the wind."
